THINGS I'VE LEARNED WHILE TRAVELING
Some things I've learned while travelling over the past few years!
Isle of Skye, Scotland |
- Traveling isn't that expensive; it's a measure of how comfortable you want to be.
- Open your mind and reap the benefits.
- Ask, ask, and ask.
- Try the foods.
- Cheap doesn't equal bad and expensive doesn't necessarily equal good.
- Make a budget and include a fund for emergencies and spontaneity.
- It's okay to splurge once in a while if it's in the name of experiencing the unique culture.
- Immerse yourself in the culture one way or another. Food, museums, activities, etc....
- Try something new that you'd never do at home! Now's the chance..
- A neat way to find out things to see and do wherever you are is using social media such as Instagram. Look at tagged locations to see what interests you.
- With that said, don't do vacations for the sake of Instagram photos! Enjoy the present, enjoy the moment, enjoy the surroundings, and enjoy the interactions.
