HUNTINGTON BEACH - PACIFIC CITY

Summer time has made its stride and everyone's heading out to the beach! Huntington Beach is a beach many love for its vibrant pier, shopping and eating, surfing, and wide sidewalks for rollerblading, biking, and strolling.

Quite recently, a new shopping and eating center opened up called Pacific City. It features a nice outdoor shopping experience and some indoor eating places. It reminds me of the Anaheim Packing District and 4th Street Market in Santa Ana in which it was probably modeled after in terms of eateries and all around aesthetic. Not going to lie, it is pretty hipster and is following closely on the trend of "Instagrammable foods" and "hipster food."

In Pacific City many shops haven't opened up yet but there is Pie-Not, an Australian pie shop, Hans Homemade Ice Cream, PopBar, Bear Flag Fish Co. (really good poke and fish tacos), and Burnt Crumbs. More shops are slated to be opened soon.

Also in the center was Philz Coffee, a Northern California coffee shop that has made its way down beachside in SoCal. They are famous for their unique coffee blends like the Mint Mojito Iced Coffee. No alcohol content here but the mint infusion makes it amazingly refreshing on a hot summer day.
