Maritime Greenwich

Two weeks have passed by and so much as happened! I've gotten really busy lately which explains the lack of posts recently.

Let's backtrack!

So for orientation, we went to Maritime Greenwich and saw the many different palaces and halls.

The Painted Hall

The Chapel

We also trekked up the hill to the Royal Observatory and got to see the of Greenwich and London. We also got to straddle between the Western and Eastern Hemispheres at the Prime Meridian.

Afterwards, we ate some great Indian tiki masala at Greenwich Market. It was the first British outdoor market that I've ever been to and it was amazing! There was such a variety of food - Caribbean, Argentinian churros, British meat and melted cheese, Indian food, to desert stands with red velvet and juice stands with beetroot juice, etc... So many choices to choose from!

We ended our day watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in West End. It was an amazing day filled with so many memories.

Things done:
1) Travelled the tube for the first time
2) Rode on a boat on the Thames
3) Rode the double decker bus for the first time
4) Finally experienced that English cloudy gloom (for about 3 hours, then it became uncharacteristically warm again)
5) Watched a West End show
